A pioneer in physiotherapy within the Hunter Valley passed away in July, having been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) earlier in the year. Mrs. Judy Mitchell may well have been known to many of you as a physiotherapist in Maitland, a Shoal Bay resident in later years, or as an important member of the local Rotary Club in Nelson Bay. You can read more about Mrs. Mitchell in this link to a piece written and published in the Maitland Mercury earlier in the year.
To honour this remarkable woman, a “long lunch” is been held to raise money for MND Research (Click here to read Invitation ). The lunch will be held at the Saltwater Restaurant (above Fingal Bay Surf Club) on Saturday the 16th November 11:30-3:30pm. Tickets are $130pp ($80 per ticket is a tax deductible donation towards MND Research) with a 2 course alternate drop meal and table wine included.
