In the time since our last Newsletter we’ve continued our professional development individually and as a Team. We have regular physiotherapy inservices on topics for upskilling lead by one of our team, physiotherapy case discussions, research paper review meetings and discussions, and general case file discussions (names preserved for privacy). Recently we have looked at:

  • The Cross Bracing Protocol for the non-operative management of ACL ruptures
  • EXOS bracing suitability, management, fitting practical (why waste your time on a cast for a broken wrist when you could have this!)
  • Classification and management of shoulder injuries with a special focus on rotator cuff related complaints
  • Resistance Training in the over 50’s
  • Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome
  • Dizziness – causes, assessment, diagnosis and treatment
  • BPPV assessment and management
  • the technique of deadlifting
  • strength and stability of the lumbopelvic region

Rest assured that your physiotherapist is doing their best to provide the best, most applicable evidence-based assessment and treatment to help you Live Your Life Better. If something isn’t quite adding up we will try to find the answers. This might mean we use our team collaboration to consult, refer to other providers when relevant to your health (radiology, GP, orthopaedic or neurospecialist, etc) outcome.

Stay tuned in our next newsletter for all the latest developments here.
