Headaches

Did you know there are a large variety of different headache types classified by the International Headache Society? The 3 more common are migraine, tension-type headache and cervicogenic (upper neck derived) headache. Physiotherapy utilizing active exercises, spinal mobilisations, mobilization with movement (active and passive) and work-related ergonomic training has been shown to be useful in the treatment of cervicogenic headache. Physiotherapy utilizing manual soft-tissue mobilization, life-style advice, and work-related ergonomic training is useful in managing migraine and tension-type headaches.
